The National Investment Banking Association held its Dallas Conference on August 25-27, 2010.  Everyone agreed that this was a great NIBA Conference!  It began with 27 golfers playing the Dallas Cowboys Golf Club on Wednesday, August 25. Wednesday night we all enjoyed a welcome cocktail reception at the fabulous Gaylord Texan Hotel.  Thursday began with a very informative NIBA meeting for NIBA Members, Associate Members, Member and Associate Member Prospects, Sponsors and Vendors.  At the same time the presenting company management participated in a seminar hosted by Expense Reduction Analysts  titled “Finding Hidden Profits for Your Business.”   Next we had the opportunity to see both public and private company presentations.  NIBA’s luncheon panel was a wealth of industry knowledge. The topic was “Current & Future Observations on the Micro/Small-Cap Market” and was moderated by Ed Crumm of BKD, LLP.  Our industry experts included Russell Cleveland of Renn Capital, Wilson Jaeggli of Southwell Partners, LLC and Joe Mannes of Halter Global Opportunity Fund.

Thursday ended with a NIBA Reception at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, where we enjoyed a Texas BBQ buffet and entertainment by Magician David Blaine in the Dr. Pepper Endzone Lounge.  Everyone went on VIP stadium tours, took photos on the field, and got an up close and personal look at the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders practicing on the field.  If you weren’t able to join NIBA in Dallas then you missed a fabulous conference.
